Epic Profound Releases Scott Secure, a Software Monitoring Console that Integrates with Scott Lock Utility Security Products

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Walkersville, Maryland, USA – September 1, 2026 – Epic Profound today announced the release of Scott Secure, a Software Monitoring Console that integrates with Scott Lock utility security products. Built for operators who monitor distributed field hardware, Scott Secure maps every device, defines who is responsible for what, and sends email and text alerts the moment a sensor is triggered or stops reporting.

Scott Secure presents a multi-window workspace that operators can move, resize and arrange to suit the way they work. At the center is a scrollable map on which every device appears as a pin. The shape of the pin identifies the hardware, with triangles for Smart Sensor Pods, squares for MCU Edge Hubs and circles for Conduit Plugs, while its color carries the condition: green for operational, red for a triggered alert and yellow for a unit that has stopped reporting. Every pin is numbered on the map itself, so a device can be identified over the radio without anyone searching a list. Alongside the map sit a live alert board, a searchable device registry, coordinate entry, saved site views, a contact roster, and the tools that connect them.

The product’s distinguishing feature is how it models responsibility. Rather than notifying everyone about everything, Scott Secure lets operators build monitoring groups that link any number of contacts to any number of devices, in both directions. One supervisor can belong to every group. One critical asset can be watched by both a local team and an escalation tier at the same time. When that asset trips, both groups are notified, and anyone who belongs to both is contacted once rather than twice.

Alerts carry the information a responder actually needs at two in the morning. Every message includes the device ID, the hardware type, the device name, latitude and longitude, the nearest street address resolved automatically, the date and time, and the current status. Messages go out by email and text message, and delivery runs through the site owner’s own server, so mail and SMS credentials are never exposed in a public web page. A per-device cooldown prevents a flapping sensor from flooding anyone’s phone, and a simulate mode lets a full alerting model be configured and rehearsed before a single real message is sent.

Device records, contact rosters and group assignments are stored in the operator’s own browser rather than uploaded to a server, and the entire data set moves in and out as CSV. Sites already tracking equipment in a spreadsheet can paste it straight in.

Scott Secure also includes a built-in simulation mode for training and drills. With the simulation running, an instructor can click the map to trip the nearest sensor and watch the alert travel through the alert board, the device registry and the dispatch log in real time, giving new operators a way to rehearse a response before an incident happens.
